Lounging in her chair, flashing those gorgeous sun-gold eyes, she’s just waiting for one thing: a beach buddy to share the good life with. <br/><br/>This beautifully marked tortie is a friendly girl who loves being around her people. While she’s not quite a lap cat yet, (think “work in progress”) she’s perfectly happy stretching out beside you for lots of pets—and she may even reward you with the occasional tummy rub invitation! She was a house cat before taking an unexpected vacation outdoors, so she’s especially happy to be back where she belongs. She’ll often come looking for you when she’s ready for some attention.<br/><br/>Kokomo enjoys a variety of toys, especially anything she can chase along the ground. She’s less interested in things flying through the air, so think beach ball rolling down the sand rather than seagull overhead! <br/><br/>She’s an easy girl when it comes to mealtime, happily enjoying both wet and dry foods, and she loves her bubbly water fountain. Fair warning, she loves ice and won’t hesitate to stick her head in your drink if she sees ice in it! <br/><br/>Kokomo has also enjoyed meeting the other kitties through a screen door and has shown no signs of aggression. She hasn’t had a face-to-face introduction yet, though, so if you have other pets, slow and proper introductions will be important, however, she has initiated contact with the foster’s dog! (See picture)<br/><br/>Kokomo’s also a reliable litter-box user, although she does occasionally like to “play in the sand.” A box with higher sides may be a good choice for this little lady.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly companion with beautiful markings, gorgeous golden eyes, and just a little bit of tortie attitude, Kokomo may be ready to share your beach chair. She just needs the love and patience of an experienced cat lover. <br/><br/>You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us. We accept online/electronic credit or debit card pre-payments for adoptions (no cash).<br/><br/>NOTE: Please do not ask us to HOLD a cat/kitten for you. Our space is very limited as we don't have a facility. <br/><br/>Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved.
