Kneau- a gentle nice guy's Story

Keanu is a beautiful huge male tabby who is very shy and sweet. He was attacked very badly by another animal while living outside as a stray and a kind woman saw that he had been attacked and took him to the veterinary ER. One of our pre-veterinary student fosters got him all healed under the care of one of our volunteer veterinarians! He looks a little rough but his wounds are healed and his hair is growing back, and he is no longer painful. Radiographs showed that he had no broken bones, which is pretty amazing! He might always have some scars.
Keanu will need extra love and patience. He is shy but very gentle, even for all his past wound care. A quiet house with no younger kids or dogs but maybe a sweet cat that would let him settle in. It will take some extra love to get him to trust that he’s safe. He’s definitely worth the time and effort. He has gotten used to face pets and scratches. He will purr and make air biscuits. He uses his litterbox perfectly and he’s got a great appetite. For now, he’s enjoying being in his quiet space and watching the birds and squirrels from his safe window indoors. This former outdoor only bruiser wants to love you.
Please head to our website to fill out a free application to learn more about this cat and to start the adoption process. Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to set up a meeting. http://nwac-oregon.org/adoption-application/ Petfinder inquiries are not monitored on a regular basis.

The $140 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, FeLV/FIV testing (negative unless noted) de-worming and flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam while in foster care thru NWAC's volunteer veterinarians.

Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.
