KITTENS cc2736, 7247 & 2743's Story

A Mother Cat (DSH Brown Tabby with White) was found along with 8 kittens. Mom came in frightened not knowing what was going on. The kittens all seem curious - not all hissy and spitty like you'd expect if mom was feral. We're figuring they're now about 10-12 weeks old. Since there are 8 kittens, there's a selection of males and females so we've posted them on Petfinder in both categories. There are Brown Tabbies (some with white), Black with some white, and Grey with some white. Having eight kittens is quite a litter, so some are smaller than the others, and will need a little more time before becoming available for adoption. The larger kittens are old enough and big enough to go to homes of their own now. They've all been given their 1st distemper vaccinations, and have had a 1st deworming. A more handsome group you'll never see......

UPDATE: A wonderful rescue: Sammyvale Animal Sanctuary - was able to take 5 of the kittens to foster and put up for adoption. Check out their rescue at: https://www.sammyvale.org There are still three of the kittens at the shelter: 2 are Grey with White markings (#7236 & 7247), and one is Black with White markings (#7243). All three are tuxedo types; and all three are available for adoption.

If you have any questions, would like more information about the remaining 3 kittens (2 Grey with White and 1 Black with White) or are considering adoption, you can give us a call (973-736-8689) Or, speak with an animal control officer through the West Orange Health Department at 973-325-4120. Best yet, stop by and take a look. The Township's Animal Control Facility (commonly called the Animal Shelter) is located at 311 Watchung Avenue, West Orange; and is open Monday through Friday 4:30 - 5:30.

.........
