Kitten: Empel *Must go with Umbra or to a home with another cat*'s Story
Empel and his littermates were abandoned by their owner outside of a pet store. Luckily our ASHA volunteers were able to catch them and bring them into the rescue and get them socialized and ready for adoption. Empel is now neutered and vaccinated and ready to find his forever home.

Empel is full of energy and ready to play 24/7! He loves wand toys and simply rolling around on the ground. He's got a turbo charged purr box and enjoys pets and will cuddle for a few minutes while he recharges for his next zoom around the house. He's friendly and confident around other cats and enjoys playing together with the young cat in his foster home. He'd do great in an active house where he could have people and other cats to play with. *Empel must go home with his sibling Umbra, or to a home with another playful cat.*

Interested in adopting a kitty?!

The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which is located on our website at: www.rescueandadopt.org/adopt.

Please remember to include:

1) Your $15 adoption deposit, which will be subtracted from the adoption fee, if you are approved to adopt.

2) Vet records for any current cats or dogs in the home. For cats, we require that they are up to date on their rabies and FVRCP vaccines and seen for an annual wellness exam. For dogs, we require that they are up to date on their rabies vaccine and seen for an annual wellness exam.

3) Permission from your landlord if you rent from a private landlord. We can verify pet policies at apartment complexes.

4) Proof of home ownership if you do NOT live in Maryland.

Adoption fees: $150 for kittens and cats under 5 years old. $125 for cats 5 years old and over. We do offer a 15% discount for adopting 2 ADULT cats (over 1 year old) at once, and for certain professions -- first responders, teachers and active or former members of the military.
