Kitten's Story

Once a kitten, always a Kitten. Yes, that's my name, Kitten. I was found with my mama Jolene on a rural property in Lyle. By the time we could get in to get spayed, mama had more kittens! We went to a foster home in Rochester, and I loved being around my younger siblings. I was like a second mama to them. They have all been adopted. So now it's just my mama and me. At first, I was quite scared, but now I enjoy being petted by the people I trust. My mama showed me that people are good, and she helps me feel safe. I am still afraid to be picked up, so I will dash away. I enjoy being up high on cat trees, sleeping in a kitty hammock or on a couch. I am very good about scratching on a cat post or cardboard scratcher instead of furniture. My foster mom says that I make messes because I like to tear cardboard apart. I don't eat it though. She plays a game with me where she tosses a treat, and I run after it it! I love climbing on her lap to eat Churus treat too! I especially love wand toys, balls that make noise, and toys with feathers, but the feathers don't last very long. I forget that I'm an indoor kitty now, and I still chew on soft toys sometimes, even blankets, and I need to be redirected. I thrive when I am around my mama Jolene, and I'd really love to be adopted with her, please. I've been with her my whole life. Mama and I will be staying in our foster home for now. Those interested in adopting me should contact the shelter to make arrangements to meet me.

Adoption fee $150 + microchip fee $30 + tax

You may list up to four animals that you would like to meet. We review the emails every day. We will process all applications in the order that they are received and then once your application has been approved, we will contact you and set up an appointment for you to meet the animal(s) and if possible, do the adoption on the same day you come in.
