Change is unsettling, and being in a new place with many other cats and new people is quite different from being in a comfortable, familiar home with people I loved. When I am startled or upset, I lash out. I will need time and a patient adopter who will learn to recognize my body language. I will do best in a quiet home with only adults or perhaps older children. I do like to play; keep in mind that I may become overstimulated, and this may cause me to take swipes at hands or arms as well. Experienced cat people will recognize these signs. I am adoptable.
