Kipper's Story

Kipper has been many things in his life — a stray surviving on his own, a shelter resident, a favorite among staff and fellow cats alike. The one thing he hasn't gotten to be yet is someone's beloved pet. And it's long past time to change that.

Found as a stray in a rural area in February 2023, Kipper was estimated to have been born around February 2021, making him a young, healthy, and spirited cat with so much life ahead of him. Despite being friendly, social, and wonderful with both people and other cats, Kipper has spent three long years in an overcrowded shelter where too many cats and too few adopters have kept him from getting the chance he deserves.

That changes now. Kipper is heading to rescue, and his happy ending is long overdue.

This is a guy who knows what he wants out of life — windows to gaze out of whenever the mood strikes, a cat tree to climb for a bird's eye view of his kingdom, cozy spots to settle into, and people. Lots of attention from his people. Then a little more attention after that.

Kipper would do best in:
A home with older children or adults only
A home as the only cat or with a confident, friendly feline companion
A space where he has room to roam, explore, and perch to his heart's content

Kipper has spent three years being the best cat he knows how to be, hoping someone would notice. He's social, he's sweet, he gets along with everyone — he's simply been in the wrong place. Now it's his turn.

Could you be the family he's been waiting for?

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
