King Louis (Henry) M, 8yrs old Dsh orange&white's Story

Meet King Louis (Henry)

King Louis, affectionately known as Henry, is a distinguished 8-year-old gentleman with a beautiful soft orange coat and an even softer heart.

Henry's story could have ended very differently. His previous owner decided they no longer wanted him because he was "too fat" and "not young anymore," and requested that he be euthanized. Thankfully, the veterinarian contacted our rescue first.

Henry was given a full examination and was found to be in excellent health. His teeth were in great condition, and aside from needing to lose a little weight and become more active, there was absolutely no medical reason for him to lose his life. His owner signed the relinquishment papers at the veterinary clinic, and Henry was safely transferred into our rescue and placed with one of our wonderful foster families.

The first couple of weeks were understandably difficult. Henry was confused, heartbroken, and trying to make sense of losing everything he had ever known. With patience, kindness, and lots of love, he slowly began to trust again—and what a transformation it has been.

Today, Henry is an absolute lovebug. He leans into every chin scratch, has a purr motor as big as his belly, and has recently discovered his adorable little meow and chirps! He's become wonderfully talkative and loves chatting with his people.

Henry is currently fostered with Moose and Apollo. While he doesn't participate in their energetic zoomies, he enjoys their company and happily sleeps alongside them. More recently, he discovered two foster kittens, and to everyone's surprise, he absolutely adores them. He often curls up beside them for naps and enjoys their gentle companionship.

Henry would be happiest in a calm, peaceful home where he can continue to blossom at his own pace. He could be the only cat, where he can soak up all of your love and attention, or he could live with another calm, easygoing cat—preferably closer to his own age.

He's also doing incredibly well with his healthy lifestyle. Thanks to a carefully managed diet and increased activity, Henry has already lost weight and is now nearly at his goal weight. He's more playful, climbs, explores, and has embraced his new life beautifully.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who will quietly love you with his whole heart, King Louis (Henry) may be your perfect match.

Henry is fully vetted: Recent full wellness examination Neutered FVRCP vaccines Rabies vaccine FeLV vaccine Dewormed Microchipped

Adoption Fee: $195

Home Requirements:

Litter trained

No dogs

Adults or older teens

Quiet home

May be an only cat or live with a calm, gentle cat

Please note: If anyone in your household has cat allergies, please do not apply.
