Kiah's Story

Meet Kiah!

Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR was called to help a cat who had been attacked by a predator. We set out our traps… and in walked little Miss Kiah. Tucked safely inside, ready to leave that scary life behind.

Kiah is not feral. She was once someone’s cat—loved, living indoors, surrounded by other cats. Somewhere along the way, she was put outside and forgotten. Out there, she had to learn to survive… to stay alert… to protect herself.

Because of that, Kiah is a timid girl when it comes to touch. She won’t hiss, swat, or growl—there’s not a mean bone in her body. Instead, she simply keeps a little distance. But here’s the thing… she wants to be with you. She’ll lay at your feet, follow you around, and even play with your toes. She just feels safest loving you from her own space right now.

Where Kiah truly shines is with other animals. She loves other cats—like, wants to be their best friend, cuddle buddy, and playmate all in one. Watching her interact is pure joy. She would do best in a home with another friendly cat (or even a respectful dog who understands boundaries).

Kiah needs someone with a kind heart and a little patience—someone who understands that trust takes time. Someone willing to meet her where she is and let her grow at her own pace.

And if we had to guess? With consistency, love, and a safe home…
Kiah is going to turn into someone’s very best buddy.

She just needs that person to take the journey with her—from trauma… to trust.
