Katana's Story

Katana (13 weeks old as of 8/2/2025) is a spayed female brown tabby medium haired kitten. Katana was born to a pregnant feral cat in Deerfield that was caught by her foster family while they were trying to catch their lost cat. Thankfully their kitty was soon found and this mama cat had her kittens safely in their home where they could be raised as spoiled house pets. Katana is a curious girl always looking for her next adventure. With her slightly longer fur, large frame, and enigmatic smile she almost looks part Maine Coon, but even if she came with papers she'd be disqualified from cat shows for a cute little kink at the very tip of her tail that suits her quirky personality. She is a little more sensitive than her siblings and seems more overwhelmed by the chaos of little kids, so she might prefer a family with older kids. She gets along well with other cats and we do think she'd probably do best with another kitten or young cat playmate she can do lots of chasing games with. She hasn't lived with dogs but we think with a slow introduction she could befriend a calm, cat-experienced dog.
