Kasey's Story

Meet Kasey

Kasey has already had quite a journey, and now she's hoping her next chapter is the one that lasts forever.

This beautiful 112-year-old, 12-pound sweetheart was originally trapped as a tiny 10-week-old kitten and was part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, which is why her adorable little ear is tipped. But Kasey never returned to life outdoors. Instead, she grew up in a home, learning that cozy beds, gentle pets, and loving humans are much better than life on the streets.

Now through no fault of her own, Kasey has found herself at the shelter and would love nothing more than to be back in a home where she belongs.

She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but give her a little patience and you'll discover the sweetest girl hiding behind those cautious eyes. Once she trusts you, Kasey blossoms into a loving companion who enjoys curling up on your lap and soaking up all the pets and attention you can offer.

Kasey gets along wonderfully with other cats and doesn't seem too concerned about dogs, making her a great addition to many different types of families.

All Kasey is asking for is a quiet chance to settle in, a warm lap to call her own, and someone willing to love her as much as she'll love them in return. Could you be the person who gives this deserving girl the happily-ever-after she's been waiting for?

This cat is available for adoption from Oceana County Animal Control. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this cat's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact persons in the order they are on the list. The adoption fee is $35 and you receive certificates for $25 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies if not already done.
