Karma's Story

Don't let Karma's photo fool you - she may look scared but we promise she's anything but! This confident girl makes friends wherever she goes! She is dog, cat, and kid friendly. She loves to be the center of attention - and it's hard not to pay attention when you see the size of this girl. She was unfortunately surrendered to us extremely overweight. At 19lbs, she is more than double the size she's supposed to be. This is very unhealthy and we can only imagine how miserable she must be. Due to her size, we were unable to perform her spay surgery. So she is currently in a foster home working towards her weight loss goals. She is available to go into a foster-to-adopt home is someone were interested in her. Paws and Claws Rescue and Resort's Adoption Policy

Step 1: Find a dog or cat that you fall in love with. Step 2: Make sure your home is a good fit for the pet and be aware of everything that goes into being a 'pet parent'. Be prepared to take on this new life in your home! Step 3: Fill out our Adoption Questionnaire (included below). Step 4: Paws+Claws staff will review the completed Adoption Questionnaire and call your included references. Step 5: If everything checks out and Paws+Claws is satisfied with the response, we will have you complete an Adoption Contract. Step 6: Go over your new pet's medical records. Step 7: Take your adoption photo! Step 8: Take your new furry friend home!
