Kaito now Finch's Story

Finch is a domestic short-haired, neutered 4 year old male kitty.
Finch is may be shy towards humans until he is fully comfortable in his new home. With that being said, he LOVES other animals, especially cat-friendly dogs. He will snuggle with them, weave between their legs and chirp at them, groom them, the works. He is an independent little guy, and needs someone with a lot of patience and time to build trust. Experienced cat owners are preferred. He will not do well with children unless they are older teens or able to respect his boundaries. He will snuggle with you at night, making the worlds most impressive biscuits on your stomach or face if he thinks you're asleep. He does not typically stick around if the sun is up, but will judge you silently from the shadows. He has never shown any aggression, but is very fearful in new situations (new people, vet visits). He has apparently developed the ability to teleport, so you may notice him on the floor to your left, turn around, and find him on top of the fridge. I don't know how he does it, but it's pretty impressive. He is unfortunately difficult to medicate so travel/pre visit sedatives aren't something that can help ease his anxiety in my experience. He is indoor only, but he has escaped twice (entirely my fault). He loves sunshine, other cats, dogs, being up high to survey his kingdom, and string toys. He doesn't seem to care much for the small stuffed toys. Wet food is his favorite, he'll eat kibble too but will scowl at you the whole time.

Finch is current on his vaccines. For more info, contact his owner, Kristina at (907) 394-0719, and please fill out a pre-adoption application. For general information, contact ACAT at 982-2228. Serious inquiries should complete ACAT's preadoption application found on the adoptables gallery page of our website.
