Jupiter's Story

Meet Jupiter! 💛

Jupiter is a striking black-and-white boy with a quiet soul and a gentle presence. After being left in a box on our doorstep, he’s been slowly learning that the world can be a safe and kind place—and he’s ready to find a patient home to continue that journey.

Jupiter may be shy at first, but beneath that cautious exterior is a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. He’s the kind of cat who bonds closely with his person—following you from room to room, curling up beside you on the couch, and even resting on your legs at night once he feels safe. His love is subtle, steady, and incredibly rewarding for someone willing to earn his trust.

He thrives in a calm, quiet environment and will do best in a home without other pets or young children. Jupiter prefers to take things at his own pace and isn’t a fan of being picked up, but he enjoys gentle pets on his terms and has the softest, most content little purr.

While he may not demand attention, Jupiter has his playful side too. He enjoys chasing springs, bells, and balls, and will happily entertain himself or engage in play with his person. He’s also an excellent “tree cat,” loving vertical spaces, cozy boxes, and window views where he can watch the world (and birds!) go by.

Jupiter is looking for a patient, understanding adopter who sees the beauty in a shy cat and is willing to give him the time and space he needs to fully blossom. In return, he offers a quiet companionship and a deep, meaningful bond that only a special cat like him can give.

Jupiter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Because our animals are kept in a playroom setting, Emerald City Pet Rescue is an appointment based rescue. Call 206-557-4661 to get started on the adoption process and find your new FUREVER FRIEND today! Our screening process starts with a survey that is completed over the phone, and then moves on to an in-person meet and greet if it seems like a good fit for both the adopter and the pet. If the meet and greet goes well, you have the option to fill out a contract. We then complete reference checks and schedule a visit to your home to ensure that everything is compatible with the pet's needs and our requirements.
