Junebug is a beautiful tortie with roots in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains, and she very much carries herself like a quiet observer of the world. She prefers to take things in from a safe distance at first—and yes, that may include a small hiss to express her feelings. Boundaries. We respect them. <br/><br/>Once she settles in, Junie is okay with gentle pets, but she’s not here to be the center of attention. Her ideal day involves a cozy window seat where she can keep tabs on the outside world and silently judge birds.<br/><br/>Junebug is still building confidence and will need a patient home that lets her move at her own pace. She’s lived with other cats (including her best friend Cricket) and will need Cricket to help her continue to feel comfortable and secure. With time and understanding, she’s going to be a quietly rewarding companion who shows her affection in soft, subtle ways.<br/><br/>This cat is a member of our Forget-Me-Not program, which features animals who have been waiting a little longer than average for a home. Some need a specific type of family, while others have simply been overlooked. To help them find their perfect match, their adoption fee has been waived.<br/><br/>This cat attends Saturday adoption events (10 AM to 2:30 PM) and Sunday Adoption Events (12pm to 3pm) at our Verona Adoption Center, and may also be met by appointment in Verona by approved adopters. <br/><br/>READY TO ADOPT?
