Juju's Story
JuJu is a 1 year, 6 months old male Domestic Shorthair/Mix cat who weighs 10 pounds.

Meet Juju

Age: 1½ years

Male / Neutered

Adoption Fee: $145

Juju is a sweet, sensitive young boy who recently came to WARL after his family faced financial hardship and could no longer care for him. He was the first of his feline family to arrive, and it was clear how much his person cared for him, surrendering him was a heartbreaking decision.

Right now, Juju is a bit shy as he adjusts to life without his family, but we're already seeing hints of the gentle, independent cat he truly is. He's not a fighter, and he prefers a peaceful environment where he can take his time to feel safe and comfortable. With patience and kindness, he's the type of cat who blossoms beautifully once he trusts his people.

Before being neutered, Juju was vocal about wanting to go outside. Now that he's neutered, he'll likely be happiest as an indoor companion. That said, a safe yard or even a barn-style setup could be a great fit for him down the road if you're open to supervised indoor-outdoor life.

Juju could live with other cats, but he'd do best as the first cat in the home while he settles in and builds confidence. Because he startles easily, he's better suited for a home with older, respectful children. He hasn't lived with dogs before, so a dog-free home or one with a very calm, cat-savvy dog would be ideal.

If you're looking for a gentle, soulful companion who just needs a chance to feel secure again, Juju might be the perfect match.

Walk-in adoption hours:

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:00-4:00 PM.

Can't make those times?
