Judy's Story

SWEET WITH A LITTLE HEART HICCUP: Approx. 6-7 months old / Approx. 6 lbs. & growing

Hi, my name is Judy! My siblings and I needed good homes, and thankfully Mostly Mutts took us in. They have all been adopted and I’ve been growing and thriving in a wonderful foster home, playing and acting just like any other kitten, even though I was born with a heart condition called ventricular septal defect (VSD) — a small hole between the lower chambers of my heart. I’ve had 2 echocardiograms and am doing so well! Just ask about me!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: I got along very well with my siblings, and the 2 adult cats in a temporary foster home that I stayed in while my regular foster was away and I loved playing with them! So, I think I’d enjoy another kitty friend in my new home. / Dogs unknown. / I haven’t met any children yet, but I love when people play with toys with me! I’d do best with gentle, kids who understand how to play respectfully with a kitten and give me space to rest when I’m sleepy. If that sounds like your family, let’s meet!!

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I’m a happy, curious little girl with a sleek, soft coat, a big purr, and an even bigger love for fun! I don’t realize I have a heart condition as I just spend my days living life to the fullest. Playtime is my love language and the key to my heart, so bring out the kitty toys and play with me a bit each day (I also play well independently). When I’m not busy having fun, you’ll find me curled up on a soft blanket, snoozing in a sunny window, or curled up in or draped across your lap in the cutest half-on, half-off cuddle nap. I’ve met lots of new people in my foster home and especially enjoy it when they bring out feather wands or string toys. Like many kitties, I may take a moment to observe first, but then I’ll join the group to see what everyone is up to. I do well for regular nail trims, and because I’m so curious about the world beyond the door, my foster uses extra caution to keep me safe inside.

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I am skilled at being adorable and entertaining! / I’ve been great at using my litter box in both my foster home and temporary foster home.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love zooming through the house, darting in and out of kitty tunnels, and chasing anything from feather wands to wadded-up paper — even regular-size tennis balls! Nothing makes me happier than when people join in and play with me. My favorite quirky treat is crushed ice from the fridge — I’ll bat it around and lick it until it melts. I enjoy climbing my cat tree and being queen of the mountain as well as curling up in a soft blanket. You’ll want to keep the toilet lid closed … it’s just way too tempting for a curious kitty like me! If you call “kitty” and give a soft clap, I’ll usually come running (though not always because I am a kitty cat and we have minds of our own - lol). I’m sure to fill your home with laughter and lots of big purrs. / Give me a little time to get to know you and play with me and we’ll become great buddies. I wouldn’t want to live in a loud environment with a lot of commotion, but guests are surely welcome. Otherwise, I would not like it if I didn’t get the love, good medical care and attention that all kitties deserve!

• MEDICAL: I am current on my annual vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. I’ve had my follow-up heart echocardiogram, and I haven’t had any symptoms of my heart condition, so just ask about that! It may or may not impact my life span and I don’t need any special treatment at the moment, just a loving home that will keep an eye on my heart health and check with their vet if symptoms arise.

I am looking for a wonderful family that will love me and take great care of me! My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
