Joker's Story
The Joker keeps being over looked, all his friends have been adopted leaving this little guy all by himself. He doesn't have much going for him...His eye was injured when he was just a couple weeks old, leaving him blind in one eye. He is solid black, which in the shelter world means they are the hardest to adopt. Joke has a blah personality, he snuggles and purrs when held yet he doesn't know how to approach you. His siblings were pushy and over bearing. Joker will need a loving, quiet person to nurture him. He is so worth it!

Black cats are considered symbols of good luck, prosperity, and protection in many cultures around the world, despite old Western superstitions.

The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting. The staff is very accommodating, and we welcome any inquires.

This link will take you to our adoption application.
https://capemaycountynj.gov/DocumentCenter/View/5814/Adoption-Application
