Jojo's Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

Jojo is an 8-month-old sweetheart who has made incredible progress since coming into care. She didn’t have the easiest start in life—she was living outdoors and was initially terrified of people and other cats—but she is now truly a different cat. With patience and trust, her real personality has blossomed.

These days, Jojo is playful, curious, and loves chasing toys all over the house. She’s also fully part of the “crew” here with the five resident cats—she plays with them, and they even groom each other, which has been such a joy to see.

She’s still on the shy side, but she now confidently approaches her foster family (including the two young children) to ask for treats—or really anything they're eating! She’s gentle, soft, and becoming more social every day, while still appreciating a calm, patient approach.

And did we mention she’s tiny? Jojo is truly a little “pocket cat,” with the cutest petite frame that just makes her even more endearing.

Jojo uses her litter box perfectly, enjoys her scratching post, and is continuing to build confidence in a home environment. With the right person, she’s going to keep blossoming into an amazing companion.

If you’re looking for a gentle young cat who just needs a little time to fully shine, Jojo might be your perfect match!

Would you like to make Jojo a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
