Joey's Story

Meet Joey!
This little bundle of energy is a four month old male Domestic Short Hair. This poor fella finds himself h - but Joey doesn't feel sorry for himself one bit! He considers all of this to be one grand adventure, and he can't wait to see what life has in store for him next.
Joey is such a precious baby boy, and he loves nothing more than snuggling, giving boops, and getting kissed on the nose. Of course, as hinted at, this guy has a "wild" side too. Like all kittens, he loves to run and play and pounce and explore. His ideal home will leave the blinds up for him, as he also loves, loves, loves watching the world outside and feeling the sunshine on his face; if you happen to have a bird feeder near a window, even better! That said, Joey would be tickled pink in almost any environment, as he's pretty easy going and doesn't really care too much about the details as long as he gets a lot of attention.
Since we don't have any history on this fella', we can't say for certain at this time how he does with kids and other animals. In his brief interactions with animals here at the shelter, he seems to hiss a bit initially but does not get too worked up about it. He's young and laid back enough that we believe he would probably adapt reasonably well to almost all other household pets after a small adjustment period. As for kiddos, given Joey's personality, we think he would love their energy and find them to be oh-so-much fun! Just make sure little ones are respectful, especially in the beginning before he fully knows and trusts them, and remember that kittens can occasionally play a bit rough and they have tiny knives attached to their hands. Joey indeed likes to wrestle and do the kickaroo routine, so it should be understood by potential adopters that interactions with young ones should be guided and supervised to some degree.
Joey is extraordinarily handsome, and his pictures don't do him justice. His face is a special and charming blend containing: an off-the-charts cute factor with his weasel-esque expressions, a dose of pure innocence that only the young possess, an endearing and unbridled inquisitiveness, and just a hint of ornery in the glint of his eyes every now and then. As for his fur, he has gorgeous, high contrast swirl markings that truly make him stand out in a world of tabbies. Joey is sure to turn people's heads wherever he goes, and his charming personality will steal their hearts in turn.
This sweet, silly dude has had his first round of shots and is litter box trained. So now he's up for adoption and ready to get the heck out of here and into a home he can call his own. If interested in being a forever home and family to the amazing Joey, call or stop by the shelter!
