Jethro's Story
I like ‘em big, I like ‘em chunky. I like ‘em long, I like ‘em fluffy- or however the song goes, you know what I mean. And if you like ‘em like I do, you’ll love this huge, handsome hunk of ours.

Jethro was found in the streets of Cold Spring, Kentucky - in the parking lot of Furniture Fair to be exact, and now he calls the halls (well, really hall) of our little shelter home- and we’re hoping that one day soon he can call a place with the coolest people his ‘forever home’.

Since he said goodbye to the streets, we have learned that Jethro is the biggest ‘mush’ with a melon-sized head you could ever hope to encounter. He is a friend to all: cat, dog, and human alike - and is veryyyyyyy popular amongst the ladies (of all species) here.

Jethro would do well in a home with pretty much any type of vibe, but might do best with more mellow inhabitants? Sometimes he can get overwhelmed by commotion and really values his beauty rest(s) throughout the day.

Jethro is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, and Heartworm, FIV, +FeLV tested! He does need someone committed to helping him care for his luscious locks- his coat was severely matted when we first rescued him and we have been working on growing out his magnificent mane!
