Jesse's Story

This sweet older gentleman is looking for a very special adopter! He is also looking for a foster transfer if he isn't adopted by 8/27.

To get right to it, Jesse is a fabulous guy (and incredibly handsome, as you can see), but he is not a fan of using a litterbox (sigh). After lots of troubleshooting by his previous owner and now in foster care, plus ruling out medical issues, we've accepted that he seems to have other preferences (eyeroll).

We know this isn't something that most adopters are comfortable with, but we are hopeful that one special person will see this and feel like they can give him a home-- whether that's a traditional indoor home that is open to managing his litterbox accidents, an indoor-outdoor option in a safe location, or a working cat placement where he can get lots of lovely human attention without the pressure of needing to use a kitty toilet indoors!

More about Jesse! He is an energetic, playful, and talkative 8-year-old cat with a big personality. He loves greeting you when you get home by jumping up on the couch or bed, rolling around, and showing off his tummy. He is especially playful with wand toys, but also enjoys chasing small toys and treats, trapping them under his paws. After playtime, Jesse is just as happy to settle down for a long nap. You may walk into a room wondering, "Where's Jesse?" only to hear a muffled meow coming from under a blanket!

Jesse responds to his name and will often come running when he hears, "Jesseeee!" He is currently 16.5 pounds and working on his diet, but he is doing very well. He does not pester for food at mealtimes, though he will happily trot over and let you know he is hungry as soon as he hears a can of wet food open.

If you think you could provide Jesse with a loving, patient home that meets his needs, please don't hesitate to reach out ASAP!

------------------------------------

This cat is currently located in a PAWS foster home. Please email their foster parent at adoptions@phillypaws.org to learn more about them!

In order to meet any cats in foster care, you will need to have an approved application first. To get the adoption process started, please submit an adoption application online at phillypaws.org/catapp.

If you have any questions for our adoption team, feel free to email adoptions@phillypaws.org or call 215-238-9901 ext. 30.
