Jellyfish's Story

Jellyfish, called “Jelly” by her friends, is a gorgeous gorgeous girl! She shares a certain quiet grace with her namesake. She is a striped girl with soft eyes (that turn into big puppy dog eyes when she wants chin rubs) and a lot of love to give, once she decides you deserve it. Trust does take time for her. Initially rescued from a hoarding house, she prefers to wait and watch before she opens up. She’s a little shy but she’s worth it. Even before she fully opens up to a new person, she will still come up to you and demand chin pets--its a good way to bond and build that trust with her. If you meow at Jelly, she loves to meow back. Every time. It's basically a rule.

Jellyfish spends a great deal of her day stationed at the window, conducting important surveillance on birds and squirrels, and she has many things to say about them and to tell them. Her cat tower is her castle. Her fluffy rug is her kingdom. Chin and ear scratches are her love language. When she comes to you for pets, please know that is a very big deal and you should feel extremely honored. She will purr very loudly and rub all over you. She has lived with dogs, other cats (although it may take her a while to get used to them), and children. When getting used to a new person, she can get overstimulated quickly. It’s best to give her good pets for a few seconds, then stop and make sure she still wants more. More often than not, she will headbutt you and ask for more. She needs someone who will let her come to them, who will be home enough for her to remember what it feels like to truly belong. She has so much more of herself to give and so much love, she just needs a little help coming out of her shell.

Jellyfish's birthday is 10/23/2023. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, fecal tested negative for parasites, FIV/FELV tested negative, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Please visit www.fortheloveofjanerescue.com/adoptions to apply to adopt!
