Jellybean's Story
Happy (almost) Birthday Jellybean!

Yes that’s right, our little Jellybean will be 1 year old on Saturday (2/28)

Just a reminder of JB’s story- she was brought to us at just a few hours old when her mama wasn’t caring for her. She was only 67 grams, chilly and trembling. We spent a lot of time and care working with her and were able to get her weight up and she joined a few other kittens in the home at the time. Once she was older she had to be spoon fed and needed extra assistance learning basic skills.

Through the past year Jellybean has made major improvements. She is able to eat on her own (she still spills sometimes but that’s ok), she can run and play, she had made friends with the other cats in the home and has very very recently started to meow. She is very scheduled and knows when it’s meal time and treat time and when it’s time to go to bed. We even found her on the couch napping on a pillow this week, which is major progress that she climbed up by herself!

Jellybean is an amazing girl and would love to find a forever home. Due to her history she would do best in a quieter home, she does still do some head bobbing especially when she is stressed from loud noises or too many people. She does great with other cats but has not been around dogs yet. She is not great about being aware of her surroundings and won’t move if someone or another animal walks towards her (we’ve had some trips!) she needs a very specific hold to be picked up safely so kiddos that are old enough to respect this should be ok. We also recommend limited if any stairs in the home. She can climb on soft objects (couches or beds) but can’t jump to high spots. She would not do well as a single pet, she does best when she has a kitty friend to help learn from. She could even bring a friend from foster with her if needed!

She has been spayed, vaccinated and received a clean bill of health. She’s just a quirky girl looking for a perfect family! Could that be you!?!

https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/cat-adoption-application-form

1/20/26update:

Jellybean is almost 11 months old and just the sweetest girl ever! JB as we call her has overcome a lot in her short life and still struggles with some coordination issues. We have worked a lot with her and she has made tons of progress and continues to. She now plays with toys and has her favorites she seeks out. She can climb into bed at night and is very scheduled.

JB prefers a quieter home and can get stressed with a lot of loud noises. She does well with other cats and would benefit from a cat friend in her new home or can bring a buddy with her. She is not great at moving when someone walks by her so needs a family that is very aware of her presence. A one level home is required as she is not able to navigate stairs.

If anyone is willing to give Jellybean a chance she will shower you with love. She is just the most gentle, precious girl.

Apply today!

https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/cat-adoption-application-form

8/26 update:

Hi, it’s me Jellybean! I am almost 6 months old and am hoping to find a forever home! Previously I was posted as a bonded pair with my friend Sophie but we’ve decided it’s ok for us to be adopted separately if needed.

I have been told that I am a precious little girl. I have made a lot of progress with my coordination issues but some still hang on.
I sometimes still chew on my food bowl instead of the food and need to be held very securely when picked up. I have made a lot of progress with getting around and getting on and off of things. I really just need a family that understands and accepts my needs.

With my coordination issues it is recommend for a home with no dogs or young children. I would do best with another cat in home, or I can bring a friend.

Please give me a chance, I will return the favor will lots of snuggles and love.

Apply today

https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/cat-adoption-application-form

8/22/25 Update: while we would love for Sophie and Jellybean to be adopted together, they have decided that it’s ok to try to find homes without the other.

Jellybean has made a lot of progress with her coordination although still has some quirks. We are still recommending a home without dogs at this time. We think Jellybean would do best in a home with another cat friend to help her adjust and continue to learn her cat skills (or can always bring a friend with her). Older children should be fine as JB can get anxious when being held.

Apply today!

https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/cat-adoption-application-form

Jellybean and Sophie met in foster when they were both very young kittens and have been together ever since. Jellybean relies on Sophie for comfort when she is stressed and we are hoping to find a home for them together.

A little bit about Jellybean! Jellybean came to us at just a day old when her mom wasn’t caring for her. Jellybean is a very unique girl who struggles with coordination. She has a very unique way of eating and we have to work with Jellybean on what bowls/textures are easiest for her to navigate. She struggles with stairs but can jump very far and high when she is getting off the couch. She is very passive and would not do well in a home with dogs. She is very sweet and snuggly but needs a family that understands her needs. Jellybean loves to sleep in bed at night and gives the best snuggles. She is a very friendly and lovable girl.

A now a little bit about Sophie! Sophie came to use at a few weeks old after she was found alone in a garage. She joined jellybean and they just hit it off! Sophie is a very curious little girl and is always investigating. She loves playing with her kitty friends and then taking a good nap. She’s a big fan of the fuzzy cat beds and will nurse on soft beds or blankets. Sophie has the sweetest purr and the softest fur!

We would love to see Jellybean and Sophie adopted together. You won’t find a sweetest pair!

Apply today!
https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/cat-adoption-application-form

All kittens have been examined, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, felv/fiv tested negative and spayed/neutered.
An adoption donation of $150 is being asked to cover a portion of their veterinary and living expenses. For more information go to allcreaturesbigandsmall.org or complete an application at https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/cat-adoption-application-form
Thank You!

Please complete an adoption application with your inquiry if you are interested in adopting. You will receive a confirmation email once your application is submitted. We are all volunteers so please be patient and be sure to complete your application fully.... don't let your inquiry get passed by because of an incomplete application. Thanks in advance for your help!

Help our rescue by donating to our "Spay the momma fund". When adopting one of our babies, if each new family would contribute an extra $10 we can help out that babies mother by assisting with the cost of her spay. Help turn the momma into a pet rather than a breeding factory, donate today!

Adoptions are limited to a 500 mile radius of Pulaski, NY and pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption in the foster home (foster homes are in Jefferson, Oswego or Onondaga Counties); animals will not be shipped to their new homes.
Veterinary reference check and adoption donation also required. Check out our homepage for a full list of our adoption requirements.
