Jelly Belly's Story

Meet Jelly Belly!

Jelly Belly has been waiting at our shelter for more than TWO YEARS for someone to finally choose her. Two years of watching other cats come and go while she continues to wait for a home of her own.

She is one of our special FeLV+ residents, but those three little letters are only a tiny piece of who Jelly Belly is. She is a sweet, friendly girl who is good with people and is also dog friendly! She certainly doesn't need a dog in her future home, but if you already have a respectful canine companion, Jelly Belly is perfectly happy sharing her world with them.

Because Jelly Belly is FeLV+, she will need to be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV+ cats. We know that makes finding her family a little harder, but after more than two years of waiting, we have to believe there is someone out there who will look past her diagnosis and see everything she has to offer.

Jelly Belly's adoption fee is $0!! She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, treated with flea/tick prevention, and microchipped with her registration completed by us.

She has spent more than two years waiting for her turn. We would really, really love for this to finally be the year Jelly Belly gets to know what it feels like to be someone's cat.

Apply to adopt at EffinghamCountyHumaneSociety.org.
