***Sharonville Location*** We don’t know if this girl possesses any superpowers like her Marvel namesake, but like most cats she seems intuitive and empathic, watching your face for clues as to how to react. Jean Gray was found as a young adult, living on her own in the shadows and dark spaces between neighborhoods. She was hungry and approachable so a woman started feeding her but could never catch her. As cold weather approached, she decided it was time to trap her. Jean landed at the shelter after her FIV/FeLV test revealed she was FIV positive. She is sweet and affectionate but also timid because she learned to be wary when she was in survival mode. Jean would be perfect as an only cat, or to reside with a fellow laid-back FIV cat. She seems to tolerate dogs but would probably prefer a quiet household without dogs or small children. Please consider making an appointment to meet Jean to see if she’d be the right fit for your home. *Must be 21 or older to adopt **Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.

HEARTT Animal Refuge's Adoption Policy

All adoptions are by appointment only. We have two locations, Sharonville and Bridgetown, so please clarify who you would like to meet so we can set up the appointment at the correct location. Our adoption fee for both dogs and cats is $100 per animal. We have a policy to only adopt to individuals age 21 or older. Additionally, we only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter. All animals are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We also give flea and dewormer treatments. Dogs are tested for Heartworm and cats are quarantined for 8 weeks prior to FIV/FeLV testing. Consider a "Senior" pet.....they really need love and a home to call their own in their senior years. We have a few beautiful kittens and many adult cats that are looking for you.
