JD's Story

Introducing handsome JD. This big boy is a hunk of pure love! JD has a classic orange-ginger tabby patterned coat with a small patch of white fur sitting at the top of his chest. JD is a solid fellow with a round head, soulful green eyes and a baby pink nose. Our vet staff estimates JD to be approximately three years old.

JD was found as a lonely stray roaming the unforgiving, tough streets and fending for himself. Like most unneutered tom cats, their life sadly revolves around survival which unfortunately means fighting for food and females and endless roaming. JD was humanely trapped and spent a brief time in a loving foster home before being brought to the safety, security and warmth of our cat center. JD is quite the catch. He has limitless curiosity and loves to explore his surroundings. JD is a talker and will make you smile with his chatty chirps and melodic meows. He truly adores people which is evident from all his positive interactions with the volunteers. JD will gladly follow you around the room while weaving and rubbing himself in between your legs. He affectionately gives gentle head "bunts" to your hands while receiving pets or scritches. What we also know about JD is that he adamantly does NOT like (nor will tolerate) other cats. JD MUST(!) be the king of his castle in a home to call all his own with NO other animals (cats or dogs) and no kids would suit him best. JD'S potential future adopters would also have to be extra vigilant and keep a close eye on this tricky boy with home window screens and entering/exiting doors as we feel he may be an undercover escape artist! JD is FIV positive which is no biggie as long as he lives the indoor-only life from now on, maintains a quality diet, and sees a vet for annual checkups. JD is ready to leave behind his former street life in the dust. JD is seeking a stable, secure, loving Forever Home with a special person or adult couple willing to give this courageous, endearing boy a worry-free life filled with the love, peace and happiness he rightfully deserves.

Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FeLV tested negative, FIV tested POSITIVE, Flea preventative applied and Microchipped.

If you'd like to meet JD, or any of our adoptable cats or kittens, please fill out an Adoption Form found in the link: https://pawswatch.org/adoptions/
