Jax's Story

Handsome: check. Friendly: check. Loves attention: check! Jax is a cat who ticks all the boxes. This playful senior could be nicknamed Mr. Congeniality. This 12-year-old will nap anywhere! Playtime? Yes please! Balls, soft toys, catnip stuffies are some favs. Favorite spots for pets are his neck, chin, and top of head. Mr. Easygoing has one thing to ask: please keep him on his special diet. Jax came to us with a serious medical condition. He made a wonderful recovery, thanks to the work of our medical team and his 5-star foster stay. To keep Jax happy and healthy, he will need to continue his diet at home. If that sounds manageable, please visit or call the Lahaska shelter. He is neutered, vaccinated, and negative for feline leukemia & FIV. We recommend a slow introduction to a new home environment and any other pets in the home.

You can pay a small deposit to place a 24-hour hold if you decide to adopt but need time to introduce other family members, including dog-dog meet and greets, or get supplies.
