I'm no spring kitten but I'm not a super senior. I'm a grown *** adult who knows what I want in life. I want a safe place to retire from my rough life of dumpster diving and front porch cat food stealing. Now that I have had a taste of the good life, I am certain it is for me. I love napping in the sunshine from a window, on a heating pad, next to you while you work, on your feet while you scroll social media, *ahem*, I mean while you read a book. I like to be in the room where the humans are but I would really love my very own human, that comes with my very own human lap.<br/><br/>I have a condition called stomatitis which caused my mouth a lot of irritation and inflammation but the nice humans at Kerrville Pets Alive removed most of my teeth to help me feel better, eat better and sleep better. I am not on any medication but I could require more vet visits than just an annual exam if my mouth ever causes me any pain. I'm not a drooler, my breath smells like a bait store as it should and not like infection and I don't have any oral bleeding which are all things to look out for.<br/><br/>Since my teeth were extracted a couple of months ago I have gained 2 lbs! Eating without pain is so great! I have no issues eating. Wet food, dry food, treats, they are all my favorites. I am learning that my next meal is coming and I don't have to worry about where I'm going to find it or who I might encounter in order to get it. I am definitely learning that I like eating when it doesn't hurt to chew. I am learning that I am safe, cared for and well fed. I even have an automatic feeder that can come with me when my family finds me because I do a little hop when the timer activates.<br/><br/>There is one more thing you should know about me. I don't like other cats. I don't really know if I like dogs but I do know that other cats are not for me. I tried, volunteers tried, staff tried, even Abe tried but I just don't trust or like other cats. I need a home where I am the only cat.
