Jasmine's Story

Jasmine came to the rescue in May 2024 after a lady who had been feeding her for sometime worried she was pregnant. No matter how full we are at the rescue, when it comes to pregnant cats, we try everything to intake them as having kittens outside is the last thing we want to see. We picked her up May 20 2024, and May 25 2024 she gave birth to 6 beautiful babies. Jasmine was not even a year old when she gave birth, but she did amazing. She cared for all 6 babies without any help from me. The kittens are 10 months old now, and now that Jasmine did her job raising these sweet peas, she can now relax and just be a cat. Jasmine is considered semi-feral-which means she is scared of humans, and is not open to the idea of having constant human interaction. Jasmine needs a patient, quiet furever home. Jasmine is a unique beauty, and has big beautiful eyes that are usually seen staring at you from inside wherever she is hiding. Jasmine is still young and we are certain her confidence around humans will continue to improve the longer she is in a safe, loving environment.

The Cat's Sass Rescue's Adoption Policy
We begin by informing possible adopters to head to our website to see the cats that are available for adoption. If any catch tehir eye, they fill out an adoption application, which lets us know what cat or cats they are interested in, and tells us all about their household (is it busy or quiet, do they have young kids,, other cats or dogs, etc). Once we determine they would be a good match (not al cats are a good fit for all households and we want the best fit for our cats), we arrange a meet and greet at our Catty Shack (a barn building renovated into a temporary housing facility for up to 20 cats, but it is not open to the public, it is on private land). If they seem to get along at the meet and greet, we will do a trial adoption, and after 7-10 days we will reach out and chat about how things are going, any concerns they have, or if they are happy. If they are happy and want to adopt, we will finalize the adoption process and they will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
