Jan (Felv+ FIV+)'s Story
Jan, or Janifur Coolidge, is as boisterous and lovable as her nickname! Jan is a sweetheart with a huge purrsonality and an even bigger heart! She's full of life, always ready to play, snuggle, or charm you with her affectionate nature. Jan adores being held and will happily soak up every bit of attention she can get — and if you forget to give her some, she'll make sure to gently remind you with her adorable begging for love.

This energetic girl loves string toys, chase games, and the occasional round of zoomies to show off her playful spirit. She gets along well with other cats (as long as she gets to be the boss!) and is wonderful with people of all ages, including children.

Jan is FIV positive and FeLV regressive, but she doesn't let that slow her down one bit — she's healthy, happy, and bursting with affection. Truly one of a kind, Jan has endless love to give and is ready to fill her forever home with joy, cuddles, and laughter.

Though Jan has tested positive for FeLV, she can still be a great companion in the right home. Jan would have to be a solo cat or be housed with other cats that are testing positive for FeLV as well. Jan can also live with dogs and other animals, as FeLV is not contagious to any other animal other than fellow cats. FeLV is a permanent illness, and can cause a shortened lifespan in cats. Because Jan is FeLV regressive, she can still live a happy and fulfilling life. Keeping an eye on auxiliary illness and symptoms is vital, and a strong relationship with your veterinarian is crucial to keeping a cat with this illness.

Due to this cat's Felv+ status, the adoption fee is waived for approved applicants.
