Jamie and PQ (bonded sisters, reduced adoption fee)'s Story
Jamie and PQ are a bonded pair of 5-year-old brown-tabby sisters who lost their home when the person who meant the world to them went into hospice care and could no longer take care of them. The experience was understandably upsetting, but with steady care and patience from their foster, they’ve shown themselves to be exceptionally sweet, friendly girls with a strong inclination toward belly rubs. Like most cats, they’ll thrive in a home where they receive regular interaction, attention, and play. We haven’t yet observed them with children or dogs, but they would likely do well with those who understand how to treat cats gently and respectfully. Because they’re closely bonded—they sleep and play together—they must be adopted as a pair. Jamie and PQ are a delightful pair who would be a good fit for a sufficiently patient first-time adopter.

Jamie and PQ have been spayed, are current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Their adopter will receive their full medical records. They're being fostered in Boston. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In their case, the adoption fee has been substantially reduced to $240 for the pair to facilitate a quick adoption because their university-student foster is leaving the area very soon and we want to avoid them having to go through the stress of a needless transition-- a bargain for a pair of new best friends who will be devoted companions for life. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters. Including your phone number increases the likelihood of a faster response.
