Jag - Handsome loverboy!'s Story

Hello world my name is Jag, I was born around April 2025 and am one lucky former street kitty! While fending for myself outside I suffered a fractured sacrum from an unknown trauma, it caused major lameness in my hind legs but thankfully I was rescued by some kind cat lovers who became my foster parents. I wasn’t too keen about the weeks of cage rest prescribed by the vet but the confinement plus medication worked wonders and my legs healed up really well - yay! Now I can run, play and jump up just fine, oftentimes into an open lap as I LOVE to snuggle and be as close as possible to my humans. I’ll gladly accept as many pets as anyone will give me, especially belly rubs as seen in my video :) I’m also a social fellow with other animals, I’m used to being around other cats and even get along great with my fosters’ friendly big dog - my foster dad says I’m quite dog-like in terms of being a companion :) After a rough start in life I have a LOT of love to share with a future forever family - please come meet me at Petco some Saturday and see if that could be yours!

The cat adoption fee is $120 (or $190 for two cats). Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, fully vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Petco (2410 Bay Area Blvd, Houston 77058). If interested in one of our cats please feel free to complete an application, found on our website www.secondchancepets.org, and email it to us at pets2adopt@yahoo.com for pre-review.
