Jaffa Cake's Story

Meet Jaffa! Mr. Jaffa Cake is part of Mama Sweets’ litter born this past Father’s Day, which makes him a little over 4 months old. Same as his siblings, he is fully vetted, so he is up-to-date on his vaccines, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and he tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

While it takes Jaffa time to warm up to someone new, when he does he is very friendly. He definitely enjoys playing and has moderate to moderately high energy. Jaffa is a huge fan of fishing rod-like toys and anything that crinkles. While he can be affectionate, Jaffa displays characteristics that suggest he will be the kind of cat to bond closely with one person. Of course, that doesn’t mean he couldn’t live with a family.

Being cautious and picky, Jaffa would do best in a home with older children if there are children in the home. In his selectiveness with human friends, Jaffa displays stronger boundaries and dislikes those being pushed. He was dog tested and was not a fan. However, Jaffa could potentially do well in a home with a dog that is cat savvy, on the quieter and calmer side, and that would most likely just ignore him. Jaffa is social with the other cats at the rescue and would do fine living with a feline friend, but he will likely not need cat companionship to thrive.

Interested in adopting Jaffa?
