Fur the Love of Animals
Our Mission
Fur the Love of Animals (FLOA) is a small home-based animal rescue located in Vernon, VT. Incorporated in June of 2024 by Kendra Kain-Woods, Executive Director, FLOA is a nonprofit dedicated to animal welfare and its community.
Our mission is to care for the stray, lost, abandoned, orphaned, or neglected and abused pets within our local communities. We accomplish this through rescue, adoption, surrender support, foster care, and sanctuary. We operate cage-free and prioritize the health, comfort, and happiness of each animal supported by one of our programs over all else.
Our guiding belief is that every animal deserves to be loved.
