Jackie's Story

Jackie is our beautiful, 15 year old girl! It's so sad when a cat is homeless at 15. We can understand if her person passed away but this was not the case. Jackie took is pretty hard too. She stopped eating for a while and her foster mom worked really hard to let Jackie know that we cared for her.
The good news is that Jackie is eating well and walking around like a lioness. Her senior blood panel looks really good too.
Jackie has lived with another cat so she would be fine with another older cat. She also lived with a nice dog too. Another sad fact about Jackie is that she is declawed. Shame on the vet that did not explain to her past family what declawing really is, an amputation of the last digit of a cats paw. This practice is illegal in most parts of the world.
Jackie would like a nice quiet home. She is independent, yet very loyal and sweet.
Please fill out an application on our website at www.hucatrescue.org.

PLEASE JOIN US THIS SUNDAY, MAY 24TH AT PETCO, 188 KITTS LN. IN NEWINGTON. WE WILL BE ON THE NORTH SHORE BUS SO YOU CAN MEET ALL OF OUR RESCUES. THE HOURS ARE 1:00-3:00 P.M. PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE. THANK YOU!
