Meet Jackie the Snuggle Bug! At 9 years old, Jackie is ready for a soft and gentle life cuddled up with her favorite person: you! Jackie came into the rescue after being timestamped for euthanasia at the city shelter, where she was losing weight too quickly due to the stress of the environment. She has settled beautifully into her foster home and is now ready to find a family who will never abandon her again. She loves to snooze under the covers with you and will adore you forever if you give her butt scratches! Jackie is a big girl (17 lbs) but she is surprisingly agile and will hop up on the windowsill if there's fresh air to be sniffed. She can be a little shy and hesitant around other cats, but she wouldn't mind living with one as long as there's a slow and patient introduction. All she needs is a lap and some treats and she will be your friend forever! As she is a bit of a chonky girl, Jackie's ideal owner would be prepared to help her have a slow and safe weight loss journey—and if you ask Jackie, she would love someone who works from home or is a homebody and wants to hang out with her all day long.
