Jack’s FAQs

What is Caring for Cats Inc.’s adoption process?

All adoption appointments must be made through the online scheduler on our website at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt. Please do not call the shelter for an adoption appointment. Appointments have already been scheduled for when we reopen. Any open adoption appointments are shown on the scheduler. Adoption Requirements: 1. You must be 23 or over to adopt. 2. Our policy concerning rental properties: We must receive a hard copy of the adopter's signed and dated rental lease agreement with information regarding the pet policy clearly stated (we cannot take rental agreements or pet policies off of a web site or via email). Landlord/Management must be aware and in agreement with the adoption which means a written authorization/signature and date from the landlord along with the adopter's signature and date needs to be provided prior to the adoption being completed. If there is an initial rental or security deposit for the new animal, this must be paid prior to the adoption being completed. 3. You will need a photo ID.
