Ivy (k2026)'s Story

Ivy and Augie are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Hello, I'm Ivy. I'm observant, selective, and very aware of my surroundings. I notice everything. Birds outside the window are one of my favorite forms of entertainment, especially during a good slow blink session.
I enjoy petting and brushing once I feel safe, but I'm not a fan of being picked up. Sometimes I'll briefly sit on your lap if I'm in the mood. Other times, I might hiss to let you know I'd prefer my personal space respected. I believe in clear communication.
I'm playful and especially love wand toys. I also enjoy choosing my own toys from the basket, which feels important to mention. I like cardboard and sisal scratching posts, and I'm excellent with the litter box.
I'm still a work in progress. Smaller spaces help me feel brave enough to come closer, and once I do, I'm quite sweet. I'm not treat motivated and I'm a bit of a picky eater, but I know what I like. Confidence takes time.
Having Augie with me makes the world feel less overwhelming. Together, we're learning that humans can be pretty great. We're best suited for a calm, patient home that understands shy kittens bloom beautifully when given time, consistency, and kindness.
