Ivy (k2026)'s Story

Ivy and Augie are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Hello. My name is Ivy and I have one brother named Augie. We currently live in a foster home, and our foster mom is helping us learn about being kittens. Some of it is really hard ~ like the part about not being shy around people! I like affection ~ I really do. I adore pets, and when I feel safe, I will sit beside my foster mom. But being scooped up is not my idea of fun ~ I am not a "carry-me-around-the house" kitten and prefer my paws to stay on the ground. Now about my face . . . if you pet my cheeks, I will assume you are initiating an exciting game, and I probably will gently play-bite you (think enthusiasm, not sass). Augie is still working on his shyness, too. He says being reached for or scooped up feels like he's about to board a flight he didn't book!

We're looking for pawrents who understand that we are a bit of a "soft launch" pair. We are not "carry me around like a baby" kittens, nor are we the "cannonball-into-your-lap" kind of kittens. We need a home that understands that trust takes time. A home that doesn't need to scoop, squeeze, or parade us around ~ at least for now. So, if you're the kind of person who appreciates sweet squeaky meows, soft purrs, and the honor of being chosen, Ivy and I would very much like to interview you for the position of our Forever Person.
