Meet Ivy! <br/>Some of the sweetest stories begin with humble beginnings and little Ivy is proof that a brighter future is always possible.<br/><br/>Ivy was born outdoors to a mother who was part of a large cat colony of more than 20 cats. She was one of seven kittens and without the help of a dedicated local grassroots rescue, life would have been incredibly difficult for this young family. Thankfully, Ivy, her siblings and their mother were all safely secured and given the chance they deserved.<br/><br/>After being rescued, Ivy and her brother, Dylan, went to a loving foster home where they learned that people could be kind. Through gentle handling, patience and plenty of affection, they were socialized and prepared for the next step in their journey. At the beginning of July, the pair transferred to ARF to begin looking for their forever families.<br/><br/>Since arriving, Ivy has received all the care she needed to start her new life off on the right paw. She has been treated for ear mites and some pesky worms. She has also been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Now healthy and happy, she's ready to leave shelter life behind and discover what it means to have a family of her own.<br/><br/>Ivy does not have to be adopted with her brother, Dylan, but we always like adopters to know when littermates arrive together. Of Ivy's original litter of seven, only Ivy and Dylan transferred to ARF, so if you've been thinking about adopting a pair, these two already share a special bond. Of course, Ivy will also do wonderfully in a loving home all her own.<br/><br/>Like her namesake, Ivy is resilient, adaptable and full of life. She's a young kitten with plenty of playful energy, endless curiosity and so much love to give. Every toy is an adventure, every cozy blanket is the perfect place for a nap and every kind person is a potential new friend.<br/><br/>Ivy has already overcome more in her young life than most kittens ever will. Now all she needs is a forever home filled with love, comfort and the promise that she'll never have to face the outdoors alone again. Could Ivy be the missing piece of your family? Come meet this sweet girl and see just how quickly she'll climb into your heart.<br/><br/>The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times.
