Ivy (Bonded to Marley)'s Story

Ivy is a beautiful young girl who is initially very scared of people. She hides and gently hisses when you come near, but she gradually gets braver and braver. She may not ever be a lap cat, but she gets along famously with other cats and its clear she feels a sense of safety around Marley. Ivy does come out and play with the bird toy on a string that we have here in foster, so she has a playful/hunter side -- She just needs space to do her own thing while she gets comfortable.

Ivy has been through a lot. First found on the streets and brought into rescue, then adopted to a wonderful home where she met Marley. Unfortunately after a little over a year her owner passed away and the cats were left alone in the house for about a month while neighbors fed them before they found their way back into our care. After everything she has been through she relies on Marley as her consistent companion and they need to be adopted together. Ivy will take time and patience to settle in but will make a great quiet companion for someone willing to let her go at her pace.
