Ivy's Story

Hi, my name is Ivy! I’m a three year-old former mama cat with mostly white floofy fur and some brown tabby markings. I am a little shy at first, but very, very sweet once I remember that I like to be pet. I really love to play with wand toys, especially this one called a cat dancer. I was a very good mom to my babies and they have all been adopted into their new forever homes. I am really hoping to find my forever home with someone who is patient and wants a sometimes goofy fluff ball. I really love to have the top of my head scratched and the base of my tail. I warm up really easily if you give me Churu treats. I’m still learning to be OK with being picked up, but I am very close to being a great lap cat, and I think I will just need a little time. Even if I am acting shy, maybe hiding in a box or cat house, you can pet me and I will not hiss or growl at you. Oh, and I also like to bat toys around and I especially love catnip toys!
The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA.
