Iris's Story

Named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris loves and accepts everyone she meets despite how she was treated in the past. She was found as an extremely friendly stray among feral community cats, and no owner came forward. Now, she's fully vetted and ready for her best chapter yet: The one with you (and the one where she gets to enjoy a Hot Girl Uterus-Free Summer).

Iris is famous for her wobbly tippy taps. When you scratch her back, she spreads her hind toes and wobbles her back legs side-to-side. She's also known for her super strong head bonks and cheek rubs that tend to knock the ocassional book over. From her crunchy, whispery meow to her speedy biscuit skills, Iris's every decision is full of affection. Even when she was a starving stray, she couldn't help but skip back and forth between the food and the kind humans she learned to trust.

Her petite 7 pound frame makes her an adorable "forever kitten" who is definitely young at heart. While Iris isn't incredibly fond of any specific toys yet, she loves to climb and is a dedicated catnip fan. She's also a lap lady in the making, so be prepared for lots of cuddles! You'll be amazed at how often she uses the power of her deep golden eyes to stop you from getting your work done. Iris cannot wait to meet you!

More about Iris:
- I'm an adult female, estimated to be about 7 years old.
- I'm spayed and vaccinated (rabies, FVRCP, and Feline Leukemia)
- I tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.
- I've been treated for internal/external parasites (worms, fleas, ticks, ear mites).
- I'm microchipped (free lifetime registration included).
- I'm current on dental extractions as of June '26.
- I've been told I may have a sticky heart valve or a possible low-grade heart murmur, which a vet can help you monitor and treat as I get older. As of now, these aren't official diagnoses and don't affect my quality of life.

To meet me in my foster home, please fill out an adoption application at the link below:
https://forms.gle/L1dTj2eEcGeDYuaZ8
