Once safe in foster care, both girls received the medical attention and kindness they had long needed — and began to blossom.

Petra, about 4 years old, is the calm, nurturing heart of her foster home. Though she’s had a rough past — losing her teeth and one eye due to untreated conditions — she’s now healthy, comfortable, and full of quiet affection. She eats both wet and dry food with no trouble and has taken on the role of caretaker to the other cats, often grooming and comforting them. Everyone seems to love her gentle presence.

Irene, around 1½ years old, has come a long way since her rescue. Once shy and unsure, she now enjoys gentle pets and chin scratches from the people she trusts. She loves her toys (a new discovery!) and plays with them happily. She may need time to settle in, but she’s a sweetheart who will reward patience with love.

These two girls share a special bond and need to be adopted together. They’re indoor-only cats who would love a home with sunny windows to watch the world go by. They’d do best with older children who know how to be gentle and would likely be fine with a calm, cat-friendly dog.

After everything they’ve been through, Petra and Irene deserve a peaceful home where they can feel safe, loved, and cherished — together.

Petra is around 4 years old and Irene is around 1.5 years old. They have been spayed and vaccinated. Petra has a sunken eye as a result of an untreated infection, but she has been checked out by the vet and she will be fine with just the one eye. They are litter box trained.

The adoption fee for Irene and Petra is $150.

We recommend adopting two kittens if you have no other pets (or even if you do), because you will get twice the love with less work and they will develop fewer behavioral issues, while costs remain relatively similar.

We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.

When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?

All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.

For additional information on our group and what we do, please check out our website: www.pawsitivity.info

Pawsitivity's Adoption Policy
Adopter understands that kittens/cats available for adoption have been rescued from a variety of situations, including neglect/abuse, as such could be subject to health or behavioral problems not known at this time. Adopter agrees and accepts the kitten/cat with this understanding. The kittens/cats are healthy and up to date on all vaccines and medical treatments which were necessary for the health of the kitten/cat. Rescuer/foster makes no further guarantees or warranties of any kind for health of the kitten/cat and that the adopter assumes all risks at/from the time of initial possession and following. Adopter understands full responsibility for the health and welfare of the adopted kitten/cat for the duration of the natural life. The responsibility includes all costs for veterinary and health needs, housing and shelter, food and any other expenses related to care and welfare. Adopter agrees to contact a veterinarian to follow up vaccines, if needed. Adopter understands that declawing cats is a cruel procedure and will not do that to the adopted kitten/cat. Adopter agrees to pay the adoption fee/donation. We do not have an adoption application, but we do want to speak to the potential adopter and ask a few questions in order to make sure we find the right fit for our cats/kittens.
