We accepted her into our program from Solano County Sheriff's Office Animal Care Division after her adopting organization was content to let her stay with the hoarder that manipulated their way into adopting her and our cat Johnny. <br/>Irene, like most hoarder cats, is shy, wary of strangers, and is unlikely to be a social butterfly. She gets along well with most animals-she isn't a fan of playful young males. She needs a home with plenty of dark places to hide due to her limited and sensitive vision. She plays on occasion, loves treats, and would be content to sit in her cozy cave on the couch while someone brushed and pet her. <br/><br/>She is a DREAM at the vet and often purrs and biscuits during routine care. She is shy but trusting and has spent almost 2 years learning that she has a secure home that cares about her medical needs. Irene is fully vaccinated, has a clean bill of health, and is the sweetest baby girl. Ask about fostering her to see how she does in your home and to give her foster family a much needed break! <br/><br/>This foster home belongs to our Director and works with the cats who are considered unadoptable when they arrive. This home specializes in cats who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, and who have severe medical concerns upon arrival. They are also our spicy kitten socialization guru and their superheroes are always learning new skills. Fosters are microchipped, combo tested for FIV/FELV, spayed/neutered, treated for fleas/parasites, and receive age/wellness appropriate vaccines. We lovingly pack a Welcome Home Hero gift bag with their favorite toys, treats, a comic to read with them, and a blanket that helps them feel safe anywhere they go.
