Ink's Story

Meet Ink

Ink is a striking all-black boy with a quiet strength and a soulful gaze. True to his name, he's sleek, mysterious, and unforgettable once you get to know him.

Ink is FIV-positive, but don't let that label fool you-it doesn't slow him down or define who he is. He feels good, lives fully, and has so much love to give. With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives, and Ink is ready to do just that.

He's spent much of his life outdoors, so the indoor world is still new to him. Because of that, Ink will do best in a calm, peaceful home with patient humans who will let him settle in at his own pace. Once he realizes how safe and comfortable indoor life can be, he has the potential to truly blossom.

Ink would thrive in a quiet environment where he can trade survival mode for soft beds, sunny windows, and steady routines. If you're someone who believes in second chances and understands that the best bonds often take a little time, Ink might be the perfect companion for you.

Give Ink the peaceful forever home he deserves-and let him show you just how special he is.

Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA's Adoption Policy
How to Adopt Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application * Please take a look at the adoptable animals below, and if you see one you are interested in, submit an online application using either of the following links. * Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not place the animal on hold. Adoptions are by appointment only. Please submit an application to get a link for scheduling. Step 2: * If the animal you are interested in is in a foster home, we will connect you with the foster via email to set up a virtual appointment or coordinate a time to meet at the shelter. Step 3: Adopt Your New Pet! * Adoptions are processed only after the applicant has met with the animal either through an offsite meeting or at the shelter. * If you have met the animal at the shelter and want to adopt, you can do so that day! Our Adoption Counselors will finalize the paperwork and process payment. All dogs must leave with a collar and a leash, and all cats must leave in a carrier. * If you have spoken with an animal’s foster family and wish to adopt, please reply to the email from our Adoption Counselors, who will process the adoption paperwork and payment electronically.
