Ink's Story

Meet Ink — cautious explorer, professional snuggler, and fellow Baby Bat

Ink and his brother Squid, both born on 2025, are two tiny bonded bat cats on a very important mission: to fly straight into your heart and then immediately curl up there for a nap.

In the shelter, Ink is the softer shadow behind the shadow. He hangs back—just one tiny second longer than his brother—carefully assessing the situation before deciding, “yes… okay… I will accept love now.” And when he does? Oh, he is all in. This boy is incredibly sweet, gentle, and quietly affectionate, the kind of cat who melts right into you once he knows he’s safe.

He and Squid spend their days being polite little gentlemen—snuggling, observing, and perfecting their innocent baby bat routine. But much like his brother, we have a strong suspicion that this is only Phase One.

Because once Ink gets home? Once he realizes he has space? Security? A whole house to explore??

Those wings (ears) are going UP.

While Squid may initiate takeoff, Ink will not be far behind—launching into zoomies, hallway sprints, and synchronized brother chaos with surprising enthusiasm. He may take a beat to warm up, but when he does, he’s going to be *thrilled* to stretch those legs and join the airborne nonsense.

At his core, Ink is a gentle, loving little soul who wants a calm home, a cozy place to land, and a human who understands that sometimes the best friendships start with a slow blink and a tiny bit of patience.

Together, Ink and Squid are the perfect pair—playful, snuggly, and deeply bonded. They’ll zoom, they’ll tumble, and then they’ll pile up into the world’s cutest bat stack.

These baby bats are ready to roost in your home—all they need is love, treats, and a nice open runway for takeoff.

Adopt Ink (and Squid). He’ll take just one extra second… and then he’ll love you forever.
