Ingrid

Sweet Ingrid is 3 months old and is the only kitten in her litter still looking for a home. Ingrid loves to play, play, play (until she falls asleep)! She has a warm purr and she's small for age, which just makes her cuter!<br/><br/>Ingrid had a limp when she was younger, and x-rays led her vet to suspect she has a rare genetic disorder that causes problems in one of her hip bones (back leg). Currently she's doing great -- she walks, runs, jumps, climbs, and plays normally, even with her "bad" leg. Her limp is gone! However, the hip issue is still visible on an x-ray and it's possible that at some point she might need reconstructive surgery or amputation.<br/><br/>As sad as this would be, anyone who has been lucky enough to have a "tripod" cat knows that having only three legs doesn't slow them down for long! Even if this is what Ingrid eventually needs, we know that she'll continue to lead a happy, active life. (What she really cares about is TOYS!) Ingrid needs a special family who's prepared to get her the veterinary care she might need, and to love her no matter how many legs she has.<br/><br/>Ingrid would be delighted to live with another cat or kitten she could play with. We rely solely on fostering, volunteers, donations, and adoption fees. An adoption fee of $175.00 must be paid at the time of adoption by either cash or check. All of our adoptable animals are assessed in foster homes, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
