Imelda's Story
Almost 1,000 days ago a nice person found me and my 5 siblings living in his garage after our mom passed away after being hit by a car. He brought us to Noah so we didn't have the same fate as our mom.
While we appreciated we weren't hungry and alone outside anymore, we HATED people and everything that came with them (except food...we loved the food!) It took all of us a long time to be touched without hissing, biting and scratching. We didn't have our mom to show us that people could be trusted so we did what we needed to do!
Lets fast forward 997 days...I'm still here after my siblings all got adopted. Why am I still here? While I am good with people, I love to be pet and still love food (treats are amazing), I still don't have the confidence to come down out of the window to greet people. I have witnessed dozens of kitties who do it, I know that means that they found their furever homes, but I just can't.
I know I'm not perfect, I can't promise that I ever will be. What I can promise is that I will love you and show you my love when I am able. Just like people, trauma sticks with some people longer than others, but with unconditional love and some time...anything is possible.
Ooooppppssss....I forgot. My name is Imelda and I am a couple months away from 3 years old. I have lived with lots of different cats and never had a problem. I have no idea if I like dogs, I see them out my window each day, but I haven't been near one.
You may find me on our website under "ADOPT
